Worked with some crows back during that period who old me that jamming
the guidance uplink to the SA-2s was very effective, the North
Vietnamese were essentially reduced to using them like anti-aircraft
artillery. . Evasive action was possible too. You could see them
coming, they had a bright plume and were big (looked like telephone
poles being thrown at you). Shoot up enough of them, though, and
you'll get some hits which they did.
