Sort of reminds me of the RADAR scope I bought in high school, from a surplus
house ad in a magazine; "Easy to convert into a first class workbench
oscilloscope".
Conversion instructions, Step One;
"Remove ALL components from the chassis except cathode ray tube and front panel
potentiometers. These components will not be required in the conversion, and
may be discarded"!
