[Milsurplus] ARB and semantics

Ah Crap!!!

 

A rather sound assessment of many situations.  :-)

 

Twas not my intention to raise the ARB argument again, but to clarify the
colloquialism  JUNK in reference to nearly anything that has since lost it's
relevance to anything other than a romantic attachment.  

 

The problem is that it appeared in the ARB thread and some people made a
fatal leap to an erroneous conclusion without noting the fact that it was a
non sequitur.

 

    The Edison quote seemed to sum it up for me in that as one of the
world's greatest inventors or promoters of technology, he had not lost sight
of the value of JUNK in the prosecution of the art of science and
technology.  

 

I’d seen it before but forgot who said it.  There was also one about
inspiration and perspiration only I can’t remember it all.

 

I sure don't want my precious butt to be tortured in hell. 

 

Well, you’re safe from me.  Any other sins are out of my control.  ;-D
