Here's a more likely scenario:
Lead from behind, withdraw troops putting the remainder at increased risk,
ignore the reccomendations of your generals, all to please your livid
radical left base.
Make some nomiunal drone strikes, to avoid the risks of a manned air
campaign, and keep your skirts clean. But do it just so you can show "you
are tough on terrorism".
Defy the law of the land by figguring ways around immigration laws, to buy
the Hispanic vote. Never mind that an A-Bomb or CW or BW weapons can come
in, just as easily as a bale of drugs. Oh, and sell them heavy weapoins
too!
On the "Arab Spring", yes, let the dictators be overthrown, and let the
Muslim Brotherhood take over. The peace treaty with Israel is in danger.
Ask yourself, if you were living in Israel, would you have a fuzzy, warm,
peacefull feeling right about now, or would you and your neighbors be even
more worried than before about becoming a short-lived isotope someday
soon?
