I think Hue's idea of writing an article about putting unmodified mil gear
on
the air using LV power supplies is a great one. Apart from anything else,
we are much more likely to get people to use unmodified equipment by
showing them how to do something useful with it than by preaching.
And once you learn to appreciate unmodified equipment, the more likely
you are to take an interest in restoring, preserving, etc.

If anyone is interested in cooperating on writing such an article - for a
useful destination - I would be happy to donate some time, etc.
