This would be the receiver for an AN/ARN-59 which is the military
designation for the Type 21 ADF.  It's one of the pieces of the COTS
equipment the military purchased from ARC along with the Type 12 stuff.
Along with things like the T-25 and the other Series 40 pieces, this could
be considered 2nd generation postwar equipment since, among other
differences, it uses more submini tubes instead of minis and loctals.
