[Milsurplus] SCR-288

My concern about 40M on the SCR-288 was that there is like, no, and
I mean NO, receiver bandspread there. I think it's about as bad there
as on my Western Radio novice rig. I think my idea of a one transistor
(MOSFET) converter down to 2.5 Mcs. is practical. Possibly not as much
authentic fun.
If you ever get tired of storing that extra legset, I'd be most happy to 
buy them. 
BTW, nice illustration in that ad.
The  generator GI can smile because he's not having to crank a GN-45.
