The 18M on Epay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140643574625&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:US:1123
The seller's statement that the 2 openings added upper right corner:
Does anyone believe this has anything to do with the 18M-5 suffix. I kinda
don't.
How about the mods. Even if it does "look 1940s" as seller says, the inside
view didn't particularly impress
me as Collins executed. Looks more hammy, to me.
What about the plate saying for "Radio amateurs and experimenters". Did this
come from a Collins museum?
I mean, a museum belonging to Collins. It occurred to me that maybe some ham
with a "Collins collection" added
that nameplate, but it's hard to imagine someone being a Collins collector
and being that dumb. The mulit - voltage
statement on that plate sounds like a general statement for advertising
purpose or historical display purpose more
like from the manufacturer. What say you?
