[Milsurplus] AN/GRC - 9 Power supply question

I have a big 24 volt dynamotor at work. We hooked it up to a big power
supply and slowly raised the current until it started to spin. It broke
free at around 60 amps. Most of the brick switchers will fold back
current and not start a big dyno. The big supply we were using just
went into constant current mode, and it was good for 300 amps anyway.
So that supply may or may not work for you. You can play with resistors
(as another post mentioned) or you can have a BFC (50,000 ... 100,000
uF?) across the power supply and then switch the dyno onto that combo.
The capacitor will supply the starting surge.
The Mean-Well power supplies are nice units and the price is very good.

Inrush protection of up to 50 amps. all the spec's may be read at Ebay auction # 310312941221. Pleas don't email me back something along the lines of " just put two 12 v batteries together" There are too many disadvantages to doing it the easy way.
