[Milsurplus] AN/GRC - 9 Power supply question

The 24 volt power supply sounds like a plan to me
but some of the newer power supplies will kick off
at Dynamotor start up, this
sometimes can be cured by inserting a start up
resistor of an ohm or two until the dynamotor
comes up to speed, then switch
the resistor out of the circuit. Also beware of
wide band hash caused by some of the switching
power supplies. A high power resistor can be
fabricated out of a #16 or 18 wire, just keep
winding the wire on a form until you run out of
wire or you are get tired. :-)
73 C U on at Field Day we will be on using mil
radios also.
