We have lots of docs that indicate TCS's primary mission 
was short-range phone comms- installations in jeeps,
use aboard ship- including capital ships- 
by harbor pilots and controls, landing craft 
and in PT-boats where it was like 
an ocean-based "Command Set."
But there were CW applications.
Somewhere around here is a photo of TCS
 installed in a Navy anti-sub Dirigible airship.  
The key for it is mounted at the Radio Op's station.  
That's the only specifically CW installation
 I have any docs about, but there are certain to be others.
