[Milsurplus] 1980's Navy R-390A's

A while back I asked where the Air Force obtained ARC-8 sets for use in the B-36 being they were all produced after the war but until the early fifties all were outfitted with ART-13/ BC-348 receivers and have never seen any of them produced past 45 or so, the assumption is that the government had lots of excess production stored so new systems were outfitted as late as 49/50 or maybe later. Would assume the same happened with the R-390A Also thought they were in production as late as 1980 so many may have been ordered and awaiting installation for five or six years before use.
