Parsch's webe site lists the AN/ARC-39 as being used in the P-3A and
UH-43 helicopter.
The P-3 reference is interesting, since the P-3 is a maritime patrol
aircraft, I wonder if the ARC-39 was used to monitor or communicate
on maritime channels without using the aircraft's normal liason
set.
I did receive one email from someone who says the radio was primarily
used in training aircraft.
I'd like to see some solid documentation on usage of the radio.
