In the documentation for some radios, there are authorized mod
instructions. If those are/were done, using the specified parts, I've no
gripes.

BUT, I do not like "mods" that say...  "strip everything from the chassis
but the tube sockets....."

Most all mods I've seen reduce the performance of the sets.
