[Milsurplus] Apex Electronics

Here is what holds me back from a lot of purchases.

If I go and ask what a place wants for something, I can determine if I want to
buy it or not. So I will go into a place, find something interesting, wait to
get the attention of someone, and ask the price. If the price is fair I will
put the item aside and go look for more, but more than likely the price will be
much higher than I would pay. After a few items go that way I give up and pick
up just the essentials of what I need for current projects, meaning maybe
$50-100. The problem is that most places want to price even obscure items at
the kind of price where only someone who REALLY, REALLY needs that exact item
would pay that price. I won't go out of my way to visit the place again.

Every so often I will go to a place and the prices will be pretty attractive,
and I might (don't tell my wife) end up spending $500-1000 on items. Of course,
this is still completely insignificant in terms of what the place has. But I
will definitely want to go there again in the future and will try to make plans
to do so.

The latter leaves both the store and me better off, yet seems to be pretty
rare. I end up with much more fun stuff from hamfests.
