[Milsurplus] Some Interesting Items

I posted some time ago that the salvation of our hobby was
going to be "connecting" with the mil-vehicle and reenactment
community, which has a much larger base and "staying power."
I still think that.

Hams have a tendency to be "lone wolves."
I understand that and it applies to me, too.
But if you want your passion to live past you,
you're going to have to overcome that.
What can *you* do? Contact any local people and/or groups
(I found one right here in my little town that rebuilds tanks!).
Go to their meets (without being a pest)
and ask to display *correct* and *neat* period equipment.
Ham-hacks, incorrect or dirty/banged-up stuff will
get you excluded the next meet and hurt the rest of us
who are trying, so please don't.
Donate to their vehicles and their treasuries. Stand-alone, our gear
has
no chance past the next 40-50 years. A strong
affilitation with the larger mil-history community
will boost that by an order of magnitude.
