While cleaning the garage, I uncovered a preamp that I probably
bought at a hamfest many years ago.
This is a Nems-Clarke PR-203S.
Using Google I only found reference to this in a NASA Project Mercury document.
This dates the preamp to the late 1950's.
They list it as used in the telemetry system with a Nems-Clarke 1412
and a 1434 receiver.
I found that a 1412 receiver covers 215-260 Mcs.
I found nothing on the 1434.
This preamp does have a NASA tag on it.

Does any one have any data on this preamp, gain (probably low), noise
figure (probably high), frequency range?

I suspect that it uses a tube, probably a 7077.
When it cools down some I will probably open it up and see what is there.
The RF connectors are type N and power is AC 115V via a Cannon type connector.
The case has a fixed handle on the top and cooling fins all the way
around the case.
