[Milsurplus] Dippy Meters

I own three 90651 Millen Gid-Dip meters and they all do the same thing
from time to time. A little TLC is in order. I have had to clean the
wiper contact on the variable capacitor and lubricate the pivot points.
Deox the tube and coil sockets is also a good idea. A good nonabrasive
cleaning of the coils pins helps. If you have not all ready done so, test
the tube or replace it with a NOS. I found over the years that some tubes
work better then others in this circuit. All in all these are good GDO's.
I have the full set of coils, the Tone Modulator, Dipping wand, and the
matching Antenna Bridge with the full set of rare 9 to 1 baluns to allow
the bridge to work with ladder line.
