[Milsurplus] RBA, RBB, and RBC - $150 - ending real soon

I have all three, too.
Local RFI is too bad to use the RBA, but the other two are nice
receivers. I had a few out of tolerance resistors, plus a bad mica
capacitor. Two gotchas that I remember - the machine screws securing
the leads to a the RF coil assemblies are a little shorter than
others, If you accidentally use one of the other screws, they bottom
out. If you notice a loose connection and tighten the screw a little
more, the ceramic standoff can be broken. Also when you are
adjusting the slugs in the RF coils and go clear to one end, be very
careful when using a screwdriver to move it in the other
direction. The slug may jam, and It's easy to break off one side of
the adjustment slot. Fortunately, I managed to get a parts receiver,
think it is a RBB. A coax "barrel" UHF adapter can be pushed into
the odd-ball antenna connector, making a nice Navy to UHF adapter. A
banana pin pushed into the center hole of the barrel makes a nice
connection to a wire.

I need a dial glass for the RBA, if anyone has a RBA parts receiver.

I have a question. When using a random wire antenna, I never was
able to adjust the receiver antenna coil so the trimmer worked across
the band. Have any of you experienced this problem?

Jim
