[Milsurplus] GRC-9 Power supply Question

Well, OK. Been hearing about the "light bulb burn-off" technique for
years. Have to admit I've never tried it but certainly enough positive
reports to indicate it does indeed work. In mechanically cleaning off
the contacts, though, I've found that the sulfide (or whatever it is)
coating is VERY hard and grinding it off takes some significant time
and effort so have been somewhat skeptical about the apparent ease
and effectiveness of electrical burn-off alone. Further, the light
bulb method doesn't pass current through all the contacts internal to
the relay and it seems problematical to me that mechanical contact-to-
contact burnishing action alone would result in sufficient cleaning
action. (Note, though, that John and Robert report running current
through these contacts too in a later messages.)

Bottom line, I guess, is to use whatever method works for you.
