This occurred to me on the drive into the office this morning; just because
it's not there doesn't mean it's missing.
I'm not sure what the "end float" is -- this is my first dynamotor I've
taken apart. I assume you mean the play in the axial direction?
The dynamotor worked just fine before I took it apart, but it needed a good
cleaning on the inside. I cleaned the old grease out of the bearings, and
the ends rotate freely. I replaced both of the caps underneath.
By the way, using a caliper at work today:
OD: 3/4 ID: 9/16 Thickness: 10 thousandths.
The ID I reported earlier was incorrect -- guess I can't read a ruler no
more......;-0
