As an aside, I'll mention a pretty decent movie about an isolated
US Army intelligence unit in WWII France.  Unfortunately, the
AN/PRC-6 appears frequently as the handie-talkie being used,
rather than the correct BC-611.  It seems that this army unit was
about eight years ahead of the technology for 1944.  :-)

The movie was "A Midnight Clear", from 1992.
