Prunedale? Sounds rural, sho'nuff. But better than Bland, VA (where we just
bought some stuff from).
Filters go on OUTSIDE of any equipment. I'm sure there are horror stories, but
I've done this and never had problems, although never for a solar inverter, but
for motors and dimmers. I would NEVER suggest going into any piece of equipment.
For a small inverter, it might be easier to just buy a good clean replacement
and take the offending unit and clean it up for your own use. Having dealt with
lawyers and moving, it may be the cheapest way to resolve the problem!
