Boy Nick, have those Z signals changed over the years! I recognized at least two dozen which I know have changed meanings. Also it looks like the page with ZB...prosigs is missing.
Interesting also, the instructions mentioned not mixing Z sigs with plain text, but didn't mention mixing Z and Q sigs, which was verboten in my days as a CW op (1967-1970). Never understood why, Z sigs were not classified.
Neat reading. Thanks Nick.

Subject: [Milsurplus] WW2 Navy Communication Procedure Signals booklet
I have posted a 2.3 MB pdf download of US Navy "Communication
Procedure Signals" at
http://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/comm_proc_sig.pdf<http://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/comm_proc_sig.pdf>
This is a small flip-chart type booklet containing a list of Z signals
(AKA prosigs - not prosigns or prosines).
Published around 1939, superseding Naval Radio Operators' Signals No. 1.
If you have any USN radio procedure publications, please let me know -
I'm always looking for more stuff to add to the web site.
cheers,
Nick K4NYW
