Hi,
An original LS-11 does have a matching transformer. Its impedance is 250
ohms to voice coil. The postwar LS-11-A (cast aluminum case) uses the same
transformer as the LS-166 and LS-454 and is 600 ohms to voice coil.
The LS-11 is an alternate to the LS-7 for the BC-654, BC-1306 and (LS-11-A)
RT-77/GRC-9. The latter two have an impedance setting switch labeled 4000
and 250. I'm not sure what the rational was with the BC-654. The only
application I recall coming across where only the LS-11 (later only the LS-11-A)
is called out is with the AN/TXC-1 FAX set.
