Looks like its painted refrigerator white, just give it chrome knobs and it would look good in a fifties kitchen! I have gone back and looked at it two or three times. It's like a car wreck I just can't stop looking. If you look at his YouTube video you can see that whoever painted it did not bother to remove any knobs first and when the power switch is moved you see its black outline of the switch in the off position.

I'm betting it was in a Navy aircraft and got that gray-white paint
job you see on a lot of Navy stuff that's been sent to the bone-yard.
They mask the labels when they do it.
Did anyone ever get a definitive answer on why that paint was used?
