Ditto on Richard Grosser's recommendation of Aircraft Spruce. Just before I
read his email, I had just finished chemically treating the chassis and
panel of a homebrew I'm building with their Alumiprep #33 and Alodine #1202.
Both are available in quart bottles and are ideal preparation for painting
or just giving a professional appearance to bare AL chassis, etc. Get some
cheap disposable Nitrile gloves from Harbor Freight before you mess with
this stuff.
