How are you going to get around getting crystals? I have thought of putting together a ARC-3 setup but that's always been the problem for me.

Does anyone have any ARC-3 equipment they are willing to sell?  I have 
the transmitter and a fairly good receiver, but need everything else to 
go with them, especially the dynamotor power supply.  Complete or parts,
