When that happens, maybe it'll be time for an eBay clone to open up, based outside USA.

I'd dearly love to have an eBay-like site devoted to some subset of the things that interest me, not awash in cheap consumer crap that dilutes my search results and makes it hard to find things I want, and without eBay's taint of anti-whatever politics. But eBay's main virtue is that everybody knows about it, so that's where people go to sell things (like green radios) that they don't know enough about to find a specialist venue. As others have pointed out, eBay is where people outside our hobby go to sell the things they find in their attic, and thus many of us have no choice but to shop there to save things from the dumpster and bring more gear into our circle of devoted and informed hobbyists.
