[Milsurplus] Shipping

I ship stuff 5 days a week. I have daily UPS service, and believe me, they
can find a penalty or surcharge for anything. Address correction, five
bucks. Residential delivery: surcharge. Oversize box: surcharge. Sneeze:
penalty (not really but probably in the works. Don't have enough packages
that week? Yep, surcharge.

The best thing ever invented is flat-rate Priority Mail. Stuff that puppy
full and it's all the same charge unless you happen to be shipping lead or
gold ingots and you get the weight exceptionally high.

Send something overseas by Priority Mail International and there is no
problem at all. Use FedEx or UPS and you are opening up a big can of worms.

I always calculate the shipping charges by UPS, Priority Mail, or Flat-Rate
Priority Mail and use the most conservative method. For small stuff 14
ounces or less, I use First-Class Mail.

I've been shipping stuff for 40 years, so I sort of know the ropes.
