i will one up the ante !

I just bid on a job that involves doing some analysis of a bridge,
Friday I went to see
the available drawings, the 'new' copy was real blueprints .. copy date 1922.

anyway, there are quite a few tools in the Unix/Linux world that will do
simple
reverse bw -> wb but you may find there will be quite a few visual
artefacts that
the eye/brain did not see and the result may look pretty bad w/o doing some
filtering.
