Well not quite; Boonton Research was started in 1929 by Stuart Ballantine
and then in 1935 changed its name to Ballantine Labs; famous for their line
of true RMS AC voltmeters. Stuart Ballantine previously served two stints
at Radio Frequency Labs (RFL) in Boonton who were the predecessors of ARC
around 1929-30. Many famous names were involved in the fledgling early
electronics industries in the Boonton, NJ area during the 20's and 30's.
Boonton Research hardware is very scarce.
