[Milsurplus] OT: US Military-theme postage stamps

I just received an email from my father, a WW2 vet ( 444th AA Btn ), about
the new Bill Mauldin postage stamp.
I used to collect postage stamps many many years ago. I suppose I needed to
go on to things that were more 3-dimensional and heavier, more substantial
to lift. But- the lure is still there. Can anyone here tell me approximately 
how
many USA postage stamps there have been, with military subject?
( I am well aware of the 1990s series commemorating WW2.)
( I am also aware that you can now design and have printed your own
image postage stamps.  Alas, just a few years too late, as the age of
paper is left behind. Still, I keep waiting for Dave Stinson to have some
ARC-5 or BC-474 stamps made. ) ( Or do I have to do this? )
