I just picked up an R-808 (w/manual) at a hamfest this morning.

1. Does anyone have any operating or repair tips etc.? Things to watch out for? Common weakspots that need addressing? I'm surprised at the scarcity of information on the 'Net about this receiver. 

2. The main tuning knob appears to be a replacement. The tuning lock is missing. Might anyone have spares they would be willing to sell?

3. I'll be using a 50-feet outdoor long antenna. Is this Hi Z or Lo Z?
