[Milsurplus] Even Worse

All: CDMA and iDEN sites required GPS for very precise timing (they make use
of the edge of the 1 pulse-per-second signal), as well as frequency control.
Some operators use Time Delay of Arrival (TDOA) techniques to estimate
locations of subscribers, but others use GPS receivers in the subscriber
units themselves.

About all Cellular and PCS sites have GPS locked systems to provide very
accurate frequency control as well as location "tagging" of users.
