Out of curiosity, I checked the tables. Copper is about 6% more resistive then silver, depending on how the metals are heat treated, not 50%.
Aluminum is about twice as resistive as silver, depending on the aluminum alloy.

Half the resistivity is nice, but why hard to work with? I think its
ductility is better than copper.
