About 25 years ago, I was on the GSA sale list and was sorely tempted to
bid on a surplus Navy boat, "Nam era. It was an all-aluminum hydrofoil
with 1 diesel and two aero engines, maybe 40' long and was supposed to be
capable of near 60 Kts. It went for about $5000.

Sadly, I had no place to berth it.
