It is actually a USN CG-43AAG, the RT unit of the ABA Mark IV IFF system.
It's made by GE.

It is identical to the USAAF BC-645-A, the RT unit of the SCR-515-A
Mark IV IFF system.

The Mark IV IFF saw little or no service in WWI or afterwards.  It was
held in reserve should the Mark III (ABK) and Mark IIIG (ABF) IFF system
fail.

Coincidentally, I addressed it briefly in a posting about WWII IFF systems
that I made to this list on 15FEB2010.
