I meant to write, "Breck, K4CHE" (my mail was supposed to be filed as a draft for later mailing)
my mail program sometimes does its own thing.

Subject: SAQ on 17.2 kHz

Hello Brecht,

I usually receive SAQ 569 - 589 here in Copenhagen in the winter and much poorer
in the summer tests. Could only hear the test signal this Xmas test, about 569.
When the signal is good here (usually the winter test), I can hear SAQ using a 2 a 3 meter stretch of wire, otherwise I use a combination of metal balcony frame, cold water pipe and the metal heating
radiator pipe system.

Was also my plan to take a portable loop antenna set-up out into the nearby park nature-resort
area but didn't think it necessary for the winter test. I was wrong. Wonder if the heavy snow
falls and layers of snow we have here have had an attenuating effect.

Henry, OZ1UF / N2NR
