[Milsurplus] A question of Value

The point of my original post wasn't about orange drops vs the axials. It
was simply that I decided to keep the originals for later so that I or
someone else could use them for an authentic restoration in future years.

>From my perspective, replacing caps with either yellow or orange is not an
authentic restoration; it's an electrical restoration. Selling a recapped
radio with "orange disease" or "yellow disease" in future years with the bag
of old original parts is something that I feel will keep the value of the
radio.

The originals may have been axials, but an axial yellow polypropylene
replacing a black beauty is no more authentic than using an orange drop. I
have no problem working with orange drops, but don't hold it against anyone
that wants to use the other.
