Hi Everybody,

I have broadband now but when my crummy dialup was all that was
available I just set my mail client and browser to *NOT* automatically
load images. That's images as in pictures. Jpegs, GIFs, etc. There would
be a little place marker where an image could appear. If I really wanted
it I could still get it - but - I got to choose. It made a tremendous
difference in performance.

I just checked my late model browswer (Firefox) and my mail client
(Evolution). Both still have those options. I hope this can be of help
to some of the members who can't get faster service for whatever reason.
There is no need to drop out and we would love to keep all of our
members.
