[Milsurplus] [MRCA] Items for sale

Find an avionics shop that doesn't throw away ALL the radios they take
out for upgrade. It took me a while but eventually I found a place
which had dozens and the owner let me take several. Make sure you let
them know you only want them for listening and will NEVER put them back
in an aircraft. Ask nicely and they will give you the pinout. Most
slide into trays which you usually can't get since the replacement
radios use the existing tray. You can easily modify BNC connectors to
mate with the blind-mate RF connectors and the radios output line level
audio. If you can't get the pinouts note what I said about replacement
radios using compatible pinouts and go to the sites of companies which
make replacement radios and you will find several which have the pinouts
on the web.

Most of trash is television sets and computers but once in a while I find usable goodies such as old scanners. If you don't like the scanning function I'd get a scanner for each frequency.
