"SBC Helldiver in Action" Squadron Signal Publications, 1995.
Page 9. SBC-3, 1936 factory photo, pilot and radio gunner
positions. Radio seat facing forwards, left to right:
GP-type antenna loading coil, RU dynamotor, RU receiver.
Main shelf above: GP-type transmitter - but a prototype
or mockup? Meters are covered over or never cut out
and mounted. Transmitter is flat unpainted aluminum;
plugin tuning unit is black. Above and directly behind
the pilot's seat headrest, one of those built-in fixed
position, circular form but flat element, loop antennas
that don't exist anywhere anymore.

"Aviation Classics" magazine, current copy on sale,
article on Martin B-10. Photo of pilot position. On
right side, SCR-183/283 control boxes and tuning
head "grinder". If I recall, this was 1933? I will
probably buy the magazine the next time I shop,
dunno why I didn't now. This aircraft makes me
think of Italian WW2 aircraft, dunno just why,
may be something about camel-like humps
and circular or angular features? Actually,
tho, a good looking aircraft.

Additional nonsense:
The book publisher gives their name as
Squadron/ Signal Publications. I refuse to use
this trendy and stupid use of the slant bar "/".
I recall the IBM System/360. Now, does that
mean the IBM System, or you could alternatively
call it the "360" ? Glad that usage died with
mainframe computers, good riddance.
Also: noticed in Nat'l Geographic magazine's
FINE, fine WW2 issues, an article "Life Grows
Grim In Singapore", Nov. 1941. This was one
of about 3 sequential articles on Fortress
Singapore that become progressively less
optimistic but nevertheless tout the strong
defenses and resolute attitude of the British
forces "and" their colonial subjects. Right.
A photo of a British troop ship in Singapore
harbor debarking troops. Tied up also at
the pier not 50 meters away, "Suwa Maru,
Tokyo", with sailors standing on deck.
( Maybe with tabulating clickers in hand. )
Everyone knew why Singapore was arming.
How stupid!
