Todd,
I don't know any more about it than you do, but I also have one, along with
the rectifier power supply. The manual on it is supposedly TM 11-838, but
I've never heard of nor seen a copy. When I got this one almost six years
ago (along with a TBW-4 HF transmitter and Rectifer-Modulator), seems that I
recall someone was familiar with it. Vague memory says it was intended for
use by Coastal Artillery batteries. Maybe.
