The only ham things I've had recently stolen were a NOS BC-1206 and a NOS
BC-456 that I bought in the fleamarket at Dayton nine years ago. I bought
them on Friday and, with the seller's permission, I left them with stick-on
labels showing my call sign under the seller's table until I could come
back few hours later. The seller left the hamfest for good before I could
get back that day, taking the items (or perhaps having sold them a second
time). He never contacted me after the show or left a message with the
hamfest.

That was theft, pure and simple, though fortunately not involving much money.
It was disappointing that it was theft by a seller of vintage gear. I only
wish I knew the seller's call!
