Too bad we can't send pictures in this list. There is a "They'll Do It
Every Time" cartoon by Hatlo on just this topic.
The scene is a man out clipping his hedge. The next door neighbor
woman is screaming, "Oh, Mr. Fooster...is your boy operating his ham
radio set again? My TV is on the fritz same aws before...some kind
of interference...it jiggles up and down!!" And the man clipping the
hedge replies, "No! He went fishing...in fact he very seldom uses it any
more..." And the man two doors away says, "A ham radio?! I'll bet that's
why the fuse in my garage blew!" and his wife adds, "Maybe that's
why my washer's been over-sudsing!!" Another neighbor contributes,
"Doc Epsom was telling me that his diathermy machine was on the blink!
He ought to know about this..." Another, "and that big aerial of
his...I'm sure it attracts lightning...and us living so close!!"
