When I was a comm officer in 3rd Combat Comm Group (AFCS)

between 1971 and 1975, we STILL had AN/TRC-24 systems

that we deployed!  IIRC, two TRC-24s back-to-back for a relay

were nomenclatured AN/TRC-35.

 

I'm sure they have been long gone, but they were useful.
