[Milsurplus] "Professionally Converted Radios"

Perhaps less well known, a lot of WW-II surplus radios were also used on 
shrimp boats in the Gulf after the War.  I had a friend at LSU in the early 
60's whose father made a living after the War modifying them for that use.  
His comments about some of the comments in the Surplus Perversion Handbooks 
were mostly in Cajun French.  Which I understood only well enough to know that 
if I were one of the authors, I would definitely avoid South Louisiana 
after dark.
