[Milsurplus] adding LSB to PRC 74A?

There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding the conversion of both
the PRC-47 and the PRC-74* to LSB. While there are USB nets
especially for unconverted equipment, traditional operation on 80 &
40m is LSB. So, for those who would like to use the equipment for
something other than just to look at or operate on those particular
nets only, the conversion is a required step.

My own needs are for something primarily to use with EARC here on Oahu
which has nets on 80 & 40m LSB which the PRC-74B would have satisfied
had I decided to convert it. The secondary purpose is for general
operation from the Jeep which, if I can get my German together well
enough, I can probably manage with my SEG-15D once I can convince it
to work - or with a converted PRC-47. Of course, I'm open to other
suggestions that don't involve *shudder* civilian equipment. ;-)

BEst regards,

Michael, WH7HG
