[Milsurplus] PRC-74

Greetings All,

         I have spent the winter purchasing all the bits and pieces need
to get my -74C on the air. I have made a few contacts with it by powering
it from a AC supply and loading in to my A3S and B&W 80-10 dipole. I to
do not want to modify the radio and will use it as it was built. My main
goal now it to get some dry batteries to salvage the connectors. This
will allow me to build a set of D cell packs. I have found that two 6
volt Gell Cell batteries will fit into my wet cell box. So as soon as
they arrive I will be able to go portable.
